AI Integration & Automation Intern
- Built and deployed a production surgery scheduling AI agent now live across 10+ orthopedic procedures. The agent auto-fills hospital order forms with relevant accurate data, routes procedure-specific consent forms, and uploads completed documents to the EHR.
- Automated patient insurance estimation end-to-end by codifying payer-specific business logic and driving eCW navigation via Python to generate estimates and route telephone encounters to staff; extended the agent platform to prior-authorization workflows, projected to save staff ~30 min/day across both.
- Provisioned and managed HIPAA-compliant Azure infrastructure (Container Apps, resource-monitored VMs, PostgreSQL) supporting agent workloads; PostgreSQL and Google Drive persist agent state, scheduling data, audit logs, and trackers across sessions.
- Led discovery and workflow mapping by interviewing clinical and administrative staff to re-engineer multi-step processes; developed iteratively with end users, validating each automation before go-live, and onboarded AI and health-IT vendors (Anthropic, eCW, Rolai, Availity).
